Support our community shuttle

Without koha (donations) and funding grants, the Te Awamutu community health shuttle service would simply not exist. Funding received goes towards running costs associated with the shuttle vans such as insurance, costs related to running the vans, and purchasing replacement vans, etc.

And so, to fulfill our mission statement of being able to offer transport to people attending medical related appointments, ongoing funding is a necessity and we thank you in advance for your koha.

Give A Little

No amount is too small - every little bit helps keep our wheels turning!

If you would like to support the Te Awamutu community health shuttle, please consider making a donation through our
Give A Little fundraising page.

Volunteer

Have a few hours spare a month?

We are always looking to add to our list of volunteers, if you feel you have 1 or 2 days a month that you could give to our very worthwhile organisation. Please call 07 870 3258

About us

The Te Awamutu Community Health Transport Trust (TACHTT) started in April 2011 in response to the community’s need for a health shuttle service to carry residents in need of transport to health-related appointments in Hamilton, and at Te Kuiti Hospital.

Our operations are overseen by a Board of Trustees with support from a co-ordinator. The Te Awamutu community health shuttle service is made up of approximately 40 volunteers who give ‘their time’ to provide the service.

We rely on donations from all users of the shuttle service to help with our running costs. Funding grants received do help with some of the costs, but not enough to cover the total amount needed to provide this valuable community service.
